If you’re anything like the Riceworks teams, you’re no stranger to your home kitchen by now. Most of us have a lot of extra time to cook and try out new recipes, and similarly, we’ve got several fun new dishes in our own repertoire. If you’re searching for some healthy snacking inspiration, look no further. Here are just a few dishes that we have been cooking up lately.
Taco Boards
One of the easiest and healthiest ways to feed your whole family is to create a delicious taco spread. We plated several dips like refried beans, salsa, sour cream, and chopped avocado and filled this board with lots of Salsa Fresca Riceworks for dipping. Customize it however you’d like – we guarantee your fam will be big fans!
Healthy Use-What-You-Have Stir-Fry
What’s the easiest way to put a meal on the table that’s quick and good-for-you? We love a good stir-fry using all the ends and bits in our fridge. We used red pepper, chicken and broccoli to throw together a this noodle dish and topped it with some delicious gluten-free peanut sauce like this one by Food 52! Serve yours with a bowl of Black Japonica Rice Riceworks for extra crunch.
Whipped Coffee
The recipe that has the whole internet buzzing; whipped coffee is a surprisingly easy and healthy replacement for your morning frappuccino. Simply combine two tsp instant coffee with two tsp sweetener of choice and two tsp boiling water, then whip with either a whisk or electric mixer until it turns fluffy and light. Then pour your milk over choice over ice and spoon the coffee mixture on top! The result is a sweet drink that’s beautiful to look at, and pairs perfectly with the saltiness of our Sea Salt Riceworks.
Apple Crisp Parfaits
What better way to start the day than with a better-for-you breakfast parfait!? In a pan, we sauteed some apples with cinnamon, and let them soften and brown. Then we crushed up Sea Salt Riceworks and mixed them with our sauteed, caramelized apples. A heaping scoop of yogurt (we like Greek-style) goes into our glass, and is topped with our sweet/salty apple mixture. Optional: drizzle with some gluten-free caramel sauce and dig in!
Gourmet Whipped Butter
Making gourmet, restaurant-style whipped butter is as easy as 1,2,3! Simply blend 1 stick softened butter with 2 tablespoons milk or water. The more liquid you add, the more spreadable it will be 😋 We topped ours with black pepper and surrounded it with all our favorite Riceworks Snacks! Which one would you dip first?
